I don’t listen to Readers & Reporters very much anymore, but when I do, it strikes me as a much more genuine album than Claye. There is something pure and innocent about it, even with its flaws. Claye tries very hard. R&R just is. I’m trying to bring back the pureness of R&R in Album Four, but with much better execution.
Boy, you’re looking bad
Wrinkled out in the sun for too long
Torn back, yellow/black liver
From too much alcohol
‘While the Ducks That Follow Me’, a mini-album from earlier this year, is now available for $5 on my new store.
After seeing iTunes be shoved in a corner with the Apple Music launch, I decided that taking control of how my music is sold was overdue. I sell the majority of my music through iTunes, but that could easily change.
So I’m starting with While the Ducks tonight, with Claye and Readers & Reporters to follow later this week.
Claye and R&R will both be $8, as opposed to the $10 they’re sold for on the big stores.
A year ago today, I released Readers & Reporters…
This morning, Apple announced that their iTunes Store would be expanding to 56 additional countries. This is great news, hopefully, for everybody in these countries who are now able to easily purchase music online. Of course, this means that Readers & Reporters is now available in many countries that it wasn’t yesterday. MacRumors has posted an incredibly helpful list of all of the new countries.
– Europe: Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine
– Africa, the Middle East and India: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, India, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Swaziland, United Arab Emirates, Uganda, Zimbabwe
– Asia Pacific: Fiji, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Micronesia, Mongolia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan
– Latin America and the Caribbean: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago
I personally know of tons of people from Indonesia and other countries that have been waiting patiently for a way to buy Readers & Reporters. Thanks to everybody who has been interested all along. I hope the folks that are new to the iTunes Store enjoy Readers & Reporters and the rest of the store, too.
A few days ago, I officially took down the CD version of Readers & Reporters from my online store. This was in preparation for something I’ve been working on for the past three weeks that I am finally able to announce. Readers & Reporters CD is now available for sale on Amazon.com.I’m very excited about this for a number of reasons, the biggest being that it provides a simple, easy, and fast solution for customers looking to buy R&R. Amazon is my favourite way to order online, and is one of the top online retailers in the world. This change will make R&R available to a whole new realm of customers by making it easier to discover and buy.
The CD is eligible for Amazon’s Prime free two day shipping for subscribers as well as other great benefits such as Super Saver Shipping and Special Offers for everyone. The CDs will arrive faster and cheaper, and ordering will be way simpler than before.
I’m incredibly excited to be selling the Readers & Reporters physical disc on Amazon and I hope this makes a much easier, simpler and cheaper way for people to listen to the album.
You can purchase R&R on Amazon for $11.99 USD here – http://amzn.to/KzJj2U
Today, I’m announcing the expected release of my album for January 29, 2012. I look forward to sharing some noise with you all soon.
I’m posting tonight with some exciting news regarding my new album. I’m making an official announcement of the title of my album, and I’m very excited to share this news with you all!
It’s a concept album called “Readers & Reporters”. I’m planning for an early Winter release and I’m just incredibly stoked to get this out there on the market.
I hope you’re all as excited as I am about Readers & Reporters.
